Notice Period - What does it mean?

A notice period for construction equipment rental defines the shortest timeframe in which machines can be returned. The rental machines are ready for handover to the rental station at the time of notice and will be picked up by klarx within the notice period. The notice period is agreed in writing at the start of the rental.

Notice periods at klarx

At klarx, notice periods depend on the rental duration and the machines rented. For crane rentals, you must give us at least two weeks' notice if you no longer need the crane on your job site. This lead time allows us to arrange pickup as quickly and smoothly as possible. If you give short notice to return the crane, klarx will decide on the pickup date. Any costs incurred must be covered by the renter.

Returning specialized equipment – how it works

Generally, you can return your machines to klarx spontaneously for today or the following day. However, this doesn't apply to cranes as mentioned above, or to specialized equipment – especially large and heavy machines whose removal requires significant logistics – which have longer notice periods. It's best to arrange the return of such machines through direct coordination with your klarx contact. For container rentals, the notice period is also 10 days in advance, as dismantling modular systems takes time.
